At Blue Box Counseling & Wellness, we use the power of language to explore your unique story. We do this by externalizing and personifying the “problem.” We might talk about your anxiety as if it were a character and explore how you would describe them. We might also use pop culture narratives or modern mythologies that resonate with you to explore your story.

For the love of fandom

Integrate your love of television, film, books and comics into your therapy sessions. Tell your story through Star Trek, Star Wars, or Doctor Who references. Explain your experience by comparing your situation to The Avengers, Harry Potter, or Game of Thrones. You have our word that the stories that shape your life are meaningful to us and we love to bring them into the therapy room. (We’ve got innumerable fandoms, but some of our all-time favorites are: Twin Peaks, LOST, Supernatural, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.)
